📖 Description
Add wind charging to your 12V battery bank for power day and night.
This VEVOR 500W wind turbine uses a 12V three-phase AC permanent magnet generator and three reinforced fibreglass-nylon blades on a 1.2m rotor. It starts turning at 2.5m/s, works across 3–25m/s, and reaches its rated output at 12m/s.
An MPPT controller is included to manage charging into your battery system, and an anemometer lets you monitor wind speed at the site. The die-cast aluminium body is waterproof and corrosion resistant, and the tail turns the turbine to face the wind.
It runs at around 55dB on dual bearings. As with any small turbine, real output depends heavily on your average wind speed and how high and clear the mast is.

🧭 Why Preppers Need This
Solar stops at sunset and slows on cloudy winter days, which is often when wind picks up. Adding a small turbine gives your battery bank a second charging source so you depend less on any one system.

⚠️ Important Information & Care
500W is the output at a rated wind speed of 12m/s (about 43km/h). Most sites average much less, so expect far lower day-to-day output. Mount the turbine as high as practical, clear of trees and buildings, on a properly engineered and guyed pole.
Installation involves working at height and with spinning blades. Check local council rules before erecting a mast, have battery and electrical connections done by a qualified person, and stop or secure the turbine before forecast storms. Inspect blades, bolts and bearings regularly.
