Carbon monoxide warning: generator exhaust contains carbon monoxide, an odourless gas that can kill within minutes. Never run it indoors, in a tent, caravan, garage, shed, vehicle, under an annexe or in any enclosed or partly enclosed space. Keep it well away from doors, windows and vents, and consider a battery-powered CO alarm.

Refuel only when the engine is switched off and cool. Do not smoke or refuel near flames, and store petrol in an approved container.

Never connect the generator to your house wiring or switchboard, or back-feed through a power point. Connection to a building must only be done by a licensed electrician using a proper changeover switch and generator inlet.

Engine oil is not included. Add SAE 10W-30 oil before first start.

Do not exceed the rated 1000W continuous load. Some appliances draw a higher start-up current.

Observe local fire restrictions, including any total fire ban rules on running engines outdoors. The exhaust and muffler get very hot and can ignite dry grass, so run it on bare ground and keep it clear of vegetation.

Use outdoors, on level ground, and keep it dry. Do not operate in rain without suitable protection.
