📖 Description
Medium-grade expanded perlite for lighter potting, seed-raising and cutting mixes.
Perlite is a natural volcanic glass that is heated until it pops into light, white, porous granules. Mixed through potting soil it opens up the mix, improving drainage and letting air reach the roots while still holding a little moisture.
The medium grade is a good all-rounder: fine enough for seed-raising and cutting mixes, and useful in potting mixes for succulents, orchids and container plants. It can also be scattered lightly over lawns, where it works its way into the soil over time to help drainage.
Perlite is inert and sterile, so it brings no weed seeds or soil pests into your mix.

⚠️ Important Information & Care
Dry perlite is dusty. Lightly wet it before handling, pouring or mixing, or wear a dust mask, and avoid breathing the dust. Keep out of eyes.
Perlite is very light and floats, so it can rise to the surface of pots after heavy watering and can blow around when dry. Store bags sealed, in a dry place, out of reach of children and pets.
Perlite is a growing medium only and contains no nutrients; feed plants with a suitable fertiliser. Results depend on your plants, mix, watering and conditions. Volumes and weights are approximate.
