📖 Description
2kg of raw, unrefined yellow beeswax from Australian beekeepers, cut into rustic chunks.
Orku's raw beeswax is sourced from local Australian farmers (Orku says from Brisbane bees) and sold unprocessed and unrefined, with no added chemicals or preservatives. It has a natural yellow colour and a mild honey aroma.
It is a useful workshop staple: pour your own candles, rub it into canvas, leather or waxed cotton to help shed water, blend it into a wood finish or polish, or use it as the base for DIY balms, salves and food wraps.
Because it is cut from larger blocks, the chunks are irregular. Orku aims to send one solid piece but may make up the weight with smaller pieces. Colour varies through the year with what the bees forage on.

⚠️ Important Information & Care
Delivery restriction (biosecurity): bee products cannot be sent to Western Australia, Norfolk Island or Kangaroo Island, and orders to those areas will be cancelled and refunded. Tasmania also restricts bee products: the supplier requires a Tasmanian "Health Certificate for the Importation of Queen European Honey Bees and Bees Wax" to be supplied after ordering, and Orku's own site currently lists Tasmania as a restricted area, so Tasmanian orders may be cancelled. Please check your local rules before ordering.
Melt beeswax gently in a double boiler or dedicated wax melter, never over a direct flame. Melted wax is very hot, can cause burns and is flammable if overheated; keep children and pets away while working.
Store in a cool, dry place in a sealed bag or container, away from direct sunlight and heat. Orku does not state a shelf life; as general guidance, beeswax keeps indefinitely when stored this way. A white powdery "bloom" can form on the surface over time; it is a natural change and melts back in when heated.
Raw beeswax is a bee product; do a small patch test before using homemade balms on skin, and avoid it if you are sensitive to bee products.
