Coco Chip Blend, 50% Coir Fibre / 50% Coir Chips – 50L

A chunky 50/50 blend of coir fibre and coir chips for an airy, free-draining root zone.

This blend combines 50% coconut coir fibre with 50% coconut coir chips. It is minimally processed, with larger 12–25mm chip pieces that do not compress in the pot, so air pockets stay open around the roots and drainage stays fast.

It suits hydroponic systems as well as general gardening, either on its own or mixed into potting media to open it up.

The supplier states the blend is RHP certified, meaning it is checked for quality and consistency, thoroughly rinsed, pH balanced and pre-buffered with calcium.

Coir contains no meaningful nutrients; feed plants with a suitable fertiliser or nutrient solution. If the mix contains perlite, dry perlite dust can irritate, so moisten the mix before handling or wear a dust mask.

Store bags sealed, in a dry place, out of reach of children and pets. Results depend on your plants, system, watering and conditions. Volumes and weights are approximate and coir may settle in transit.
