📖 Description
An 8L stainless steel wax heater with a pouring tap, plus a starter pack of wicks.
The Orku 8L wax heater is a stainless steel melting drum with a tap, so you can fill jars and moulds straight from the unit. It heats with 1800W and an adjustable thermostat, and suits soy, paraffin, beeswax and other candle waxes in flake, bead or block form.
The lid handles are heat-resistant ABS; treat the outer drum and tap as hot while it is in use. Dry-burn power-off cuts the heat if the unit runs empty.
It comes with a starter pack of 100 wicks in two lengths, wick stickers and a long metal stirrer. It works just as well for melting soap bases and balm ingredients.

🧭 Why Preppers Need This
Candles are one of the simplest light sources to store and make yourself. A melter lets you turn bulk wax, leftover candle ends or beeswax into candles for power outages and off-grid use, and the same pot handles soap and balm batches. Melting is done with mains power, so make your candles while the power is on and store them for when it isn't.

⚠️ Important Information & Care
Electrical: This unit is rated 220–240V. It is supplied with an Australian (SAA-type) plug, per the supplier. Plug directly into a wall socket rather than a power board, keep the cord clear of the hot body and spout, and unplug when not in use or before cleaning. Never immerse the unit in water.
Hot surfaces: Treat the outer drum and tap as hot during use and handle the unit by its handles only.
Hot wax: Melted wax can cause serious burns and stays hot for a long time. Wear heat-resistant gloves, pour slowly and keep your face away from the spout.
Never leave it unattended while it is switched on or while wax is still hot.
Temperature: Heat wax only to the melt/pour temperature recommended by the wax maker and never towards its flash point. If wax starts to smoke, switch off and unplug immediately. If wax ever catches fire, smother it with a lid or fire blanket — never use water.
Keep water away from hot wax: even a few drops can make it spit and splatter, and water near the unit is an electrical hazard.
Placement: Use on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface in a well-ventilated area, away from curtains, paper and anything flammable.
Children and pets: Keep them well away from the unit, the cord and hot wax at all times.
Care: Let the unit cool fully and unplug it before cleaning. Wipe out residual wax while it is still slightly warm (not hot) with paper towel; don't use abrasive pads or pour water into the heating base. Clear the tap or spout of wax before it sets.
