FM only, with no hand crank or solar charging; keep it charged before you need it. In some regional and remote areas the main emergency broadcaster is on AM.
Contains a lithium battery. Charge it every 2–3 months when stored so it is ready to use, and store it somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sun and away from heat. Do not leave it charging unattended on soft furnishings. Remove AA/AAA batteries for long-term storage to avoid leakage.
