Orku's unrefined shea butter is made from shea nuts and sourced from an organic certified supplier, with Ghana listed as the country of origin. It comes as pale yellow, creamy chunks with a natural earthy, nutty smell and no added fragrance.
It is a semi-soft butter that melts on contact with warm skin. Orku sells it for use on its own or as an ingredient in homemade lotions, creams, body butters, soaps and shampoos. It also blends with beeswax to make balms and conditioners for leather.
Supplied in a resealable tub. Orku states it is for external use only.

Store sealed below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Shea butter softens or melts in hot weather and may turn grainy if it melts and re-sets; this is a texture change only.
Orku does not state a shelf life. As general guidance, unrefined shea butter keeps for about 2 years stored cool and sealed. Discard it if it smells rancid.
