📖 Description
Food grade citric acid powder (E330), 5kg in a resealable tub.
Citric acid is the acid that gives lemons and limes their sourness. This product is a white crystalline powder, similar in look to sugar, made by fermentation of corn or potato starch (per supplier). It is used in cooking and food manufacturing as a souring agent and as a preservative.
At home it is used to add acidity when bottling and preserving, to stop cut fruit browning, in cheese making, cordials and lollies, and as a descaler for kettles and coffee machines.
Stored sealed and dry, citric acid keeps for years, so a bulk pack is a practical long-life staple for preserving season and household cleaning alike.

⚠️ Important Information & Care
Store sealed in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight. Reseal after each use: citric acid absorbs moisture from the air and will clump or harden if left open.
When bottling or preserving, follow a tested recipe for quantities. Do not rely on guesswork for acidity in home canning.
Citric acid powder can irritate eyes, skin and airways. Avoid breathing the dust and avoid eye contact; rinse with water if it gets in the eyes. Keep out of reach of children. When cleaning, avoid natural stone, marble and some metals.
